Jérôme Galon is awarded the Duquesne Prize 2022

On September 20, the Duquesne 2022 Prizes were awarded by the Ligue Nationale Contre le Cancer to Jérome Galon, team leader at the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers, for his overall research work, and to Olivier Schwartz, of the Pasteur Institute.


Jérôme Galon is a research director at Inserm, and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Cancer Immunology at the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers. He is in particular the inventor of the Immunoscore®, a process that allows the evaluation of patients’ response to immunotherapy.

In 2015, he created the immuno-oncology diagnostic company HalioDX, which has since become Veracyte, to market and develop this diagnostic tool.


Jérôme Galon has received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding research, including the 2019 European Inventor Award, the Jeantet-Collen Award in 2020, the Prix Galien in 2021, and was awarded Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur in 2020.
