On October 18, the first symposium on health and medical research, focused on cancer research, was co-organized by CRC and Zhejiang University. It was held on the Cordeliers campus.
The symposium started with a brief introduction by Jessica Zucman-Rossi, director of CRC, and Prof. Xiao-Ming LI, Vice President of Zhejiang University, followed by scientific presentations by researchers from both institutions.
The Zhejiang University, located in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, is the third best university in China according to the Shanghai ranking 2024. It hosts more than 67 000 students. It is associated to 8 hospitals and 11 schools of medicine, making it a very solid structure for medical research.
During that half day, researchers from both structures have exchanged and evaluated collaborative possibilities. This first contact was very promising and researchers from both countries are eager to repeat the event in a near future.
