Science Festival

Come and celebrate science at the Cordeliers Research Centre!

Every year, CRC is proud to take part in the Science Festival, a national event dedicated to promoting scientific culture and discovering technological innovations. Our researchers are eager to share their passion and make science fun and understandable for everyone. Join us to celebrate science and experience unforgettable moments of discovery at our center.

The CRC is taking part over two days to help everyone discover the wonders of science.

The first day will be dedicated to schoolchildren, offering them a unique opportunity to explore scientific themes through interactive and educational workshops adapted to their level. The second day will be open to the general public, enabling anyone from science enthusiasts to hobbyists to take part in presentations and hands-on demonstrations led by experts. Come and discover, learn and celebrate science with us!

The center is delighted to invite you to a series of educational and interactive workshops covering a variety of exciting scientific topics. Come and discover the secrets of the kidney, an essential organ for blood filtration and waste elimination, as well as the crucial role of the liver in metabolism and detoxification.

The Center has set up a passport for children to present at each workshop they attend. Researchers will stamp it with the name of their activity.

At CRC, adults and children will be able to carry out scientific experiments in a fun way, while learning about the biology and health research being carried out there. They’ll have the chance to talk to research professionals and discover this unique and fascinating profession.

A booklet of games inspired by the various workshops on offer will accompany their visit to the laboratories, enabling them to test the knowledge they have acquired during their visit.

by Maeva Saroul, Céline Pophillat and Christelle Kabore

Live: Through a short didactic presentation and images, we present the particularities of dental enamel, the most mineralized structure in the entire body, from its development to its mineral maturation. Observation of color disturbances, which can be a sign of pathologies caused by environmental toxins (endocrine disruptors). Researchers will explain how analysis of tooth enamel defects can help identify certain diseases.
